Hi, just installed this morning so only first thoughts:

- subversion / tortoisesvn needs more explanation to describe what they do IE tortoise is the UI for subversion

- the sending files to source control needs a progress bar like the updating local source control does.

- when the sending files to source control is taking place you need to release back to SSMS and have the SSC work in the back ground. My PC has been locked on to this step for over 30 mins. I only know something is going on by the repository folder size growing in windows explorer. Is there any contention on the database access or server resources while this takes place? We'll need to do this on production servers over night if so.

after a further 20 minutes I gave up and hit cancel. I then got this:

I have deleted the folder where the repository was located and rebuilt it.
I have returned to SSMS and started Source Control on the database.
The link to the repository works successfully but switching to the Commit Changes tab results in a dialog titled "This is a temporary dialog" with the text
    Failed to update:

and I cannot get past this. If i click OK the commit tab is empty and if i refresh the page it causes the same error.

The same happens on the Get Latest tab too

We have some information on our support forum about using TortoiseSVN,
http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... 939314.htm. E.g., We recommend using Tortoise SVN (a free Subversion client for Windows) to browse the hosted repository, create directories, view the logs, and so on.

yup, followed those and got it working but I was looking for something that had to be done with subversion, thinking it was a separate application that would need installing. The line about Tortoise saying its a 'client for subversion' seems to indicate they are separate products when actually its rolled into Tortoise

I emailed FatherJack directly to discuss 2nd bullet point in first post, performance issues, parsing problems (need sample file), and current situation on commit/get latest tabs, which seems to be completely stuck...
