It sounds like there may be a permissions issue. Firstly, please can you locate the SQBServerSetup.exe file in the ~Red Gate\SQL Backup 6 directory, copy it over to your SQL Server and run it. Then, check that the user you select to run the SQL Backup agent service has the correct permissions as per the following knowledgebase articles:

It was a permission issue.
The account that I used was admin on the server but was not admin on SQL Server.
I uninstalled and installed with the correct accont and it worked fine.

Its saying : Failed to connect to SQB service.
Also I am not able to see 'red-gate'backup service in sevices pane.
Any help is appreciated .
