Synchronizing only selected fields

I have to repair a damaged table with relatively old backups.
Only a couple of the fields need to be updated leaving other fields unchanged. Can that be done with data compare ?

    Hi there,

    Providing you have the PRO edition of SQL Data Compare and it is full or differential backups that you are comparing against, SQL Data Compare shouldn't have a problem with this at all.

    How do I select/deselect fields. Rows can be deselected but can't see where to deselect fields ?

    Hi,

    If you know the data in the specific field then you can run a WHERE clause, alternatively select the row you know where the field is to drill down to that, and then when you rum the synchronization wizard only the fields that are different / or you manually specify from there will be selected for synchronization.
