The SQL Backup team think that Windows file system redirection may be to blame for this. Did you try installing using "Run as administrator"? Also, you will probably have this problem if you are trying to run the toolbelt installer from a mapped or network drive. Can you try running the installer on a local drive?

Further to my previous post, please can you try running the MSI manually. Please download the SQL Backup 5.4 MSI plus a small readme with instructions from:
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQL_ ... .4_MSI.zip
Please run the MSI as per the instructions and, if you still have problems, send the install.log file it creates to support@red-gate.com.

RedGate.ToolbeltInstallerWizard.Engine.SQLToolbeltInstallerException: File 'C:\Users\dbritt01\Local Settings\\RedGate\{A9C5F541-42CB-4285-9C9E-AE53148B641E}\empty.msi' does not exist

Upon click OK, I get:
Error
Toolbelt Installer failed with exit code 0x1.
Can anyone help?
