Here's some suggestions if SSMS is crashing when you try to use SQL Prompt.
Firstly, please make sure you have the latest version installed: https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/
If you're using an older version of SSMS you may need to check that it's compatible with SQL Prompt: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sp/getting-started/requirements
If the problem persists please submit a support ticket with the following information:
- Which version of SQL Prompt are you running
- Which version of SSMS are you running
- If you're getting an error message please provide a screenshot
- Attach a copy of your log files
