CEO. Check out the RedGate log files. They can be found in:  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Source Control    You may need to run a get commend that starts with the following.... git config --global --add safe.directory '%(prefix) / comments

Solved. Git needed app password and needed to run git config --global --add safe.directory / comments
