Data catalog does not pick up some databases on the instance
The credentials I am using to set up the data catalog on the server are for a user in sysadmin, so that account has every permission needed. I have set up the catalog and added one instance to test...
I'm guessing it did. I haven't heard back specifically but it seems to be working for him now. I guess it had just been a while since he'd restarted. Still a rather unhelpful error message though - maybe you can edit these message internally to say "We suggest you restart SSMS". / comments

Trying to apply migration script - "Failed to apply migrations" error
We have started trying to use separate development databases for each developer. I made some changes on mine, including two migration scripts, and committed those changes, and pushed the master bra...
Thank you for answering, Kendra. We might get to dedicated databases eventually. I will weigh up our options. / comments

A small handful of scripts keep on changing their script_checksum and so ask to continually applied
We have our database set up with a change automation project using a shared development model - one single database where everyone makes changes, and then each person generates migrations from just...
Well, I've set up CA so that it generates migration files, but whenever it does the deploy through Octopus it does a full compare to generate what I would call a state-based approach. I admit I get a little confused. I mostly wanted to use it to check when drift occurred in the production database so we could act sooner, rather than wait the ~40 minutes for a full deploy cycle. It is important for us to see what drift has occurred and who by so we can work with that person to get the change into source control. / comments

Using DLM Dashboard with SQL Change Automation - sending changes from CA project
We have just started implementing SQL Change Automation. I would like to use the DLM dashboard to track schema drift in our live environment. From what I have been able to read, there seemed to be ...
I ended up working with someone else to get an SPN and delegation set up on S2. I also used the full connection string for the SQL CA projects. So rather than our alias DW01 I used the xxxsrv01,8484 type pattern. Anyway, fixed now. / comments

Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON' in baseline script - but delegation seems fine
I've installed Change Automation in SSMS for a fresh start on our existing database. It has shown us a lot of problems with stored procedures and missing objects, but that's fine, we've cleaned tha...
