Hi Dave, Really sorry to hear you are experiencing a repeat of issues regarding the upgrade of Prompt and how it's interacting with Visual Studio. I've looked into some trending here in our system and unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a lot of reports for this across the base, however this is clearly something that does occur. I'll ensure this feedback is passed over to the developers so that they can review it and better understand the experiences our customer are seeing. Great to know that you have a solution to keep things working, but appreciate the workaround is a pain with having to uninstall and reinstall the product. / comments

Hello, Unfortunately we do not support our products within a Citrix environment. With regards to the share folder within Citrix and SQL Prompt I can confirm there is not a security policy or setting required for SQL Prompt to have permissions. It might be worth double checking the logged in user account permissions vs the SSMS user permissions against the folder to see if there is any difference. / comments

Hi Gavin, Thank you for reaching out to raise this query with redgate. I can confirm that currently SQL Compare does not support Azure external tables. This isn't the first time this query has popped up though, I would recommend going to our SQL Compare User Voice Here and searching for 'Add support for External Tables' and adding your support for this feature request. The bigger the support, the better the chance the feature has for our developers to review. / comments

Hi Kiran, Great to hear that the initial issue has been solved! I'll solve the case for this one and will open a new one for you on my system regarding the 2nd issue, using this thread for the discussion for the 2nd query, Regarding the temporal table/system scripts not being created correctly, what seems to be wrong with the script files and do you have an example you could share? / comments

Hi Kiran, It appears this may have come up previously by another user. I've attempted to replicate this here at redgate using the same Azure DB version and the latest version of SQL Compare and am not able to reproduce the same behavior where it was creating two tables for you. Can I suggest upgrading to the latest version of SQL Compare - Click Here - released 3 days ago and retrying from your side please. Another behavior to note which I learnt whilst checking this was that at this time Azure DB subscription must be S3 (Standard level 3) or higher. / comments

Hi Tom, Thanks for highlighting this one and for the good detail and steps you have provided. It is strange behavior indeed and I have been able to replicate this using the same SSMS and SQL Prompt versions you are using. This has been referred to our developers internally so that they can review and provide further feedback. Good to know that you are able to comment out and continue as per your instructions in the mean time. / comments
