Thanks @DanC Is this something that's on the roadmap or will it never be done? I feel it would save a lot of time for a lot of people if there was a CLI (or some PowerShell modules) that could automate this task / comments

Solved. You can't just reinstall/repair the individual items. I've had to download Toolbelt Essentials (which we pay for anyway) and do the updates from there. That then works. The only thing left to do is to add SQL Search to a custom toolbar in SSMS which I can't remember how to do. / comments

Hi @Dan_J I found a couple of items already on UserVoice to cover this scenario. Between them they have about 45 votes (so it looks like it would be nice addition). These are the topics:- Tab History Cloud Sync – Customer Feedback for Redgate (uservoice.com) SQL history - Allow user to set custom SqlHistory.db save location – Customer Feedback for Redgate (uservoice.com) Regards Richard / comments

Thanks @Dan_J I'm not comfortable editing the registry so I'll leave that bit alone. I was hoping there was a config file that could be edited but obviously not. I'll head over to the UserVoice page and add it to the list. Regards Richard / comments

Hi @Dan_J Thanks for that. Just to be a bit clearer, I won't be using them at the same time, I just need to be able to access the same history on two machine. Can you let me know how to move the file(s) to a different location please? Regards Richard / comments

A quick update. I uninstalled SSMS V19.2 and reinstalled V19.1. I then reinstalled SQL Search (among other bits) from Toolbelt essentials and everything is back to normal. / comments

Hi all A bit late to the party here but I've just installed SSMS V19.1 and I can't get SQL Search to appear in the GUI. When I try to install either of the versions from the links above, I get the message saying I have a newer version installed. I've been into Control Panel to try and uninstall it but it won't disappear. I'm just installing SSMS V19.2 so I'll let you know how that goes but is this another bug in the software? Regards Richard / comments
