It was missing altogether so I ended doing uninstall/reinstall on that and it came back. / comments

Thanks @Dan_J I'm not comfortable editing the registry so I'll leave that bit alone. I was hoping there was a config file that could be edited but obviously not. I'll head over to the UserVoice page and add it to the list. Regards Richard / comments

Hi @Dan_J Thanks for that. Just to be a bit clearer, I won't be using them at the same time, I just need to be able to access the same history on two machine. Can you let me know how to move the file(s) to a different location please? Regards Richard / comments

A quick update.  I uninstalled SSMS V19.2 and reinstalled V19.1.  I then reinstalled SQL Search (among other bits) from Toolbelt essentials and everything is back to normal. / comments
