Hi, At this time we do not support comparing Databases as a whole within Oracle Compare tools. You can select multiple schemas, if not all schemas in a Database and compare them to all of the schemas in another database. However, each schema would need to be selected. This request has come up before, and has been submitted as a feature request on the Redgate UserVoice portal for Redgates Oracle Tools. Can you please comment and vote on this existing feature request on our Oracles tools User Voice Forum?

Hi, As a follow up to my previous post, I wanted to update you on another option available for your situation. Redgate's SQL Clone would be the official recommended way to create dedicated dev databases. This would be the preferred way to create a common data image, and the creation of clones off this should be a way of getting the same dataset to Devs without much overhead. Here is a our SQL Clone page that gives you an overview of how it works: https://www.red-gate.com/products/dba/sql-clone/ And this page is our documentation on how to get started using it: https://documentation.red-gate.com/clone3/getting-started/what-is-sql-clone Thank you! / comments

Hi, Unfortunately, you would not be able to use SQL Source Control for non-static data. Instead, this would be a job for SQL Data Compare! Here is a link to a worked example for deploying data to two databases using SQL Data Compare: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sdc13/worked-examples/worked-example-deploying-data-in-two-databases I hope this helps. Hello, Thanks for your inquiry! The compression occurs locally on the server performing the backup. The compressed backup file is then written to the network share / NAS. So, you would still need space on the C drive for the temporary files used for the actual backup. For example: In order to backup a 6 TB database, you would need roughly 6.25 TB of hard drive space (the .25 TB would be for the OS and the application). I hope this helps. Kind regards, / comments

Hi iLyaL, Thank you for your question regarding SQL Change Automation. May I ask if the "------ Skipping..." portion of the logs looks like this?: [image] If so, this is a result of added logging that was included in the release of SQL Change Automation migrations (Ready Roll). The log shows that these 'Skipping' migration scripts are checked, but not needed or included in the that specific transaction of the build/release. If you would like to send us the full log, and attach it to a support ticket, we would be glad to take a look and try to find out where the delay happens. Please let us know if this helps. Kind regards, / comments

Hi iLyaL,
For the first part of your
question, the scripts are listed and ordered in the ‘sqlproj’ file that's at
the root of the project.
For the second part, I was
going to recommend using the patch script approach instead of the package
script to improve performance.
https://documentation.red-gate.com/rr1/key-concepts/deployment-scripts I hope this helps. Kind regards, / comments

Hi IgorS, Sorry for the confusion. I am glad that the solution worked. And yes, that is very fortunate it was not on your production server.I know how much it takes to make any changes to a SOX controlled server.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks,

Hello IgorS,
Thanks for getting in touch. You'll need to add the the user to the BrowsingUserList registry value as described in the following documentation: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sbu10/troubleshooting/cannot-access-resource-when-browsing-sql-servers-with-windows-authentication I hope this helps. Hi Etienne, Yes. There is a way to remove the brackets from all data types. It is Options -> Format -> Styles -> Actions -> Add/remove square brackets = YES, Remove unnecessary brackets = YES However this will also remove any other brackets a long with it. Unfortunately,
we do not currently have an option for just removing the brackets around data types. This would be considered a feature request to add in a later release of SQL Prompt. You can post a new feature request on our UserVoice forum here:
https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/94413-sql-prompt Our product manager uses that as an important resource when deciding new features. Best regards, / comments
