We are investigating how to fix this. As a workaround, open the sqlproj file in
the file editor find the flag <GenerateSqlPackage> and set it to
False. This will prevent package scripts being generated but it will fix

Hi Dwilli, As it's possible to script out both SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare with the command line, you can create your own custom Powershell script chaining both command line scripts.
