On the other hand, if you only archive messages older than a year, the number of times they need to retrieve an archived message is going to be a lot lower. Hope that helps, Robert Hi Robert, Since you are not building a compliancy component into the Archiver I think if you did a demo to show how easy it is to search for items out of the total number of shorted emails.. when I mean total, on a admin level there should be (if there isn't already) a page with a magic number which has the total number, so he can find what he's looking for.. 40,000 users would be in the 10 or 100's of millions of emails I would expect [image] Your product looks great so far. I am not sure if I need to sign up for the beta program or just being here contributing in the forums means I apart of it? I haven't installed the software yet as I want to see were it's going first, and may try it on my home server after I backup my mailboxes by installing in on another server I setup that I am not using for anything right now. / comments

Well it seems to be a great little product, though I am wondering a few things: 1. can it be scalled up to work on growing networks; if not at which point should a company be looking at using Symantec's or EMC's email archiving system? 2. does it do any encryption on the archive? Even though we have under 100 users ourself, only 45 of them are empolyees the rest are test, log, and support accounts. Some of the users are well into the 2GB size in their mailboxes are doing the dreaded "create an offline folder and move their old emails over to it". [image] So even I am sure we'll fill up a 500GB HD pretty fast if the data is uncompressed. 3. outlook anywhere support would be nice if it's allowed. the sales force uses notebook computers but it would be nice to see (if its not already in the plan) a exchange cache tool like EMC's that caches the users archive to their machine so that when they are on the road and nowhere were there is internet they can grab an archived email from their system. / comments
