I have tried setting the appth to the default setting '..\AppData\Local\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10\Snippets', but access is denied on the default folder as well. / comments

Thanks Sergio [image] That means I will have to follow best practice and add a name to each default constraint. I was just hoping to avoid doing it for a proof of concept that I am busy with. Regards Thomas / comments

Thanks Sam. I am running SQL Compare on a VM on my laptop and this morning SQL Compare started without giving the error. I did a shutdown of the VM yesterday and with the restart the services most probably started up correctly and that is why it is working correctly today. / comments

Hi dOCTOClone, I do have internet access on the machine running SQL Compare. I have sent and email to the sales team and asked for an extension on the trial period, and it appears as though that has resolved the issue. / comments
