I have been experiencing these same issues ... and when I try to click Options I get a "not set to the instance of an object" error.  I have Reported the Issue.  I am on the most recent version.  Is there anything else I can try? Also, I have tried making ssms Large Address Aware but that has not helped.  I am on 64 bit Windows. / comments
