Hi John
The link Alex provided is how I activated SQL Compare on a server without internet access. Here are the instructions I received from Redgate:
1) Open a command prompt or powershell window as administrator
2) Run cd "c:\program files (x86)\red gate\DLM Automation 2\SC"
3) Run the following (kindly make sure to run as is and *not* include your serial number) .\SQLCompare.exe /activateSerial:
4) A dialog box will pop up and prompt you for your serial number - enter your serial number in the text box
5) Click "Activate"
6) This will fail and then give you an option to "Activate Manually" --please click this and follow the instructions as usual for manual activation (you'll need to copy and paste the provided request/response text to/from a machine with internet connection)

I would second (and third and fourth etc) this - I had a pre-update check fail and it took far too long to identify the problem (a simple permissions issue as it happens) even with some help from Redgate. It could have been resolved instantly if the results of the comparison were available. Seems like a very simple thing to add..... / comments

I'm trying to get SSC (v7.0.6.8775) set-up to push to an Azure DevOps git repo. I have linked the repo successfully and committed changes but when I try to push changes I get to the same Continue button as per the first screenshot from @Tianjiao_Li but never get an option to add credentials and just get an authentication failure message. Any ideas as to how to solve this? I have previously been successfully committing to a TFS git repo through a git command line. / comments

You can remove the default SQL Compare options in DLM Automation by using a '-' before the option: '-itst' sounds like it should do what you want. / comments

Have you tried amending the server path in the Repository Mapping to just the database folder you want for that build? Assuming I've read your post right, I think that should work. You can also 'cloak' any folders you don't want to download. / comments
