Confirmed the SqlSourceControlPackage load error exists with SSMS 17.9.1 and SQL Source Control 7.0.11.8918. Docking Object Explorer to the default left-hand side still appears to be a valid workaround. / comments

The IgnoreUsersPermissionsAndRoleMemberships associated with SQL Compare can be set in SQL Source Control as a comparison option. Even though I'm not seeing it explicitly called out in the docs, this excludes schema permissions (in addition to user permissions and role membership. / comments
