I double checked and looked like some app pool recycling settings had been turned on at some point (1700 mins approx). I've turned the recycling off but we are still prompted to login on browser start (sessions had persisted through machine reboots previously). / comments

SQL Monitor No Longer Respecting "Keep Me Logged In" flag?
Since 9.1.3 or 9.1.4 SQL Monitor is no longer maintaining our sessions and even on occasion logging us out mid-day without having restarted the browser window....
