Everyone,

Hope you are well. We are looking to reboot the SQLSaturday.com website and have a version available for you to look at and give feedback. The initial site is located at: https://red-gate.github.io/sql-saturday-website/

If you have thoughts, catch typos, or have any feedback, please feel free to post here.

Also, we are looking to get some virtual events going this year, and build some excitement to 2022. If you are interested in hosting an event, please let me know (sjones@sqlservercentral.com).

Hey Steve, I like the "other events" section as it underlines that this is about collaboration rather then competing so few comments/questions on that section:

    - images (logos?) are broken for me
    - where does this list come from?
    - how would this list be currated? can ANY data related event be on that list?

    - Image pathing is slightly broken, but I think some of this will work once we get the domain live, the /xxx will work. Right now it's /sql-saturday-website/xxx, which is hard to account for.
    - List of events comes from a static file. I think this repo is private, but the test page I have is here: https://github.com/way0utwest/jekylltest/blob/main/_data/otherevents.yml
    - Curated, by a committee. I think that a group of volunteers would be good for handling PRs here that allow someone to add to this list. Or build tools to create a yml file with the events

A nice, clear, clean and uncluttered layout. I like it.

Looks nice! Eventually I hope we'll be able to search/filter by geographic region when events start happening in meatspace again?

Also love this language, (I want to add it immediately to my UG's CoC):

The organizer of this event will prioritize marginalized people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. Please report any concerns, harassing behavior, suspicious, or disruptive activity to the event organizer or staff.

I just took a look and I love the nice clean look to it. It'll be interesting as more events are listed, and events using the SQLSaturday moniker start using it, to see how it goes, but well done!
