Hi @Mpaul It is possible to lower the sampling rate of the Base Monitor across all sampler collections. You can change the frequency using the ConfigurationFileEditor utility as described below.
Find the ConfigurationFileEditor.exe tool included under the C:\Program Files\Red Gate\Redgate Monitor\BaseMonitor\Tools directory of a base monitor installation.
Right click and run the tool as an Admin
Click on the Load Configuration File option and then select the "RedGate.SqlMonitor.Engine.Alerting.Base.Service.exe.settings.config" which should be residing under the C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\Redgate Monitor directory by defaultIt's recommended that you save a copy of the config file elsewhere before editing it further- though it should also save a copy itself.
Once you've loaded the config file choose the "select override" option at the top right and choose either the "1/2 default" (i.e. 15 seconds becomes 30 seconds sampler period) or "1/4 default" options (i.e. 15 seconds becomes 1 minute sampler period) [image]
Then save the configuration file using the disk icon at the top left and then restart the Redgate Monitor Base Monitor Windows service.
Please do not change individual sampler frequencies as some samplers rely on others running at the same time and it can cause other issues if they are mismatched. Hope this is of assistance, please let us know if not or if you have a specific scenario you're trying to address that requires more input from our side. / comments

Hi @pbarot, Many thanks for your query, just after some additional clarification. Assuming you've reset the password for an account being used by one of the Monitor services (Base Monitor or Web) and you now need to update that on the server hosting Redgate Monitor? This can be achieved through the services console on the server hosting that specific service and updating the password here. [image] Please let me know if I've misunderstood your request.[image] / comments

Hi @postldm, My apologies for the delayed response on this post and for the issues you've seen. It seems another customer has reported very similar behaviour. Our development team merged a fix for query inconsistencies against the Query Store on Monday, this will be available in 13.0.35 which I'm hoping will be released in the next couple days. As soon as this release is made available, I'll endeavour to let you know here so that you can try this update and advise if you believe the issue persists. / comments

Hi jtom, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience, sorry that following these steps hasn't proved straight forward. If you have got stuck at a particular point and would like our help please let me know and we can raise an internal support ticket to gather more information and assist you further. While the current process may seem manual, once set up, it should streamline your updates significantly. With regard to changing/simplifying this process, I would suggest raising this request on the UserVoice site, votes on these suggestions can help prioritise future features that matter most to our community. / comments

Hi @Jaffe Sorry you've seen this issue with Redgate Monitor, potentially could be a query requesting more memory than the configured limit allows. Will reach out to you through an internal support ticket to request a copy of your log files which will hopefully allow us to diagnose this. Once we've found the cause in your case will look to update this thread with the underlying issue for others who may come across this. / comments

Hi @postledm, Many thanks for your question. At present it doesn't look like we have this as an available metric on a reports tile for Azure SQL databases.
