Hello MartinP_UK
Unfortunately, Always Encrypted isn't currently supported by our comparison engine which is embedded in SQL Doc so I suppose it wouldn't be supported in SQL Doc either. However, I will check with our developers to be sure. I'll get back to you once I've confirmed.
Kind regards,

Hello @Bugmeister,
Thanks for your query about SQL Source Control. If the trigger
definition is on the table definition, unfortunately, there wouldn't be a
way include the trigger if you've filtered out the table.
Alex's suggestion is probably the best idea for handling this.
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @... , Thanks for reaching out and sorry that you've run into trouble with SQL Change Automation.
I was able to reproduce the error on my end and it appears to be a bug with the format.
You should be able to get around this by first, unloading the project, then modifying the connection string from Multiple Active ResultSets to MultipleActiveResultSets (remove the spaces).
Also, can you confirm the details of your environment just in case it differs from mine (SCA version/ Visual Studio version/OS etc.)? I'll be escalating this for a fix.
Kind regards,
Pete Ruiz

Hi @questionuser123 , Thanks for your patience on this issue. I had previously been able to reproduce the error when using the SCA extension for Visual Studio version 4.2.20176.20875. We've since done some work recently with Visual Studio and MSBuild which although isn't directly related to the error, may coincidentally fixed the issue.
I've recently updated to the latest SCA extension version 4.3.20205 and I am no longer able to reproduce the error. Can you please upgrade the extension and confirm if it too resolves the error on your end?
Cheers,
Pete Ruiz

Hi @tslagter ,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry that you're having trouble with SQL Source Control. Do you have the option enabled to Throw exceptions on SQL parser errors is enabled in your comparison options in the setup tab?
If not, can you try enabling it and see if it throws any errors in the commit tab?
If
that doesn't reveal anything, would you send over a copy of the full
log folder located in %localappdata%\Red Gate\Logs, including the logs
for any other SSMS add-ons you have installed since they sometimes
contain SQL Source Control activity?
We've opened a support ticket for you and you can upload the log files there.
Kind regards,

Hello @Patrizio This error can sometimes be due to
lack of permissions, can you please review the permissions on the
target? Also, sometimes caused by differences in timestamp columns. By
default, the option to include timestamp columns is enabled, do you
show differences if you disable this option? [image] Kind regards, Pete Ruiz / comments

Hi @ScottSS, Thanks for your patience with this issue SC-10856. The
development team have reviewed the bug as part of a periodical review
and prioritization of open issues and, unfortunately, they are unable to
fix this bug. When reviewing bugs the development team
take into account the impact it has and the number of users affected
and unfortunately we are unable to fix all bugs and have to prioritize
fixing the ones that cause the greatest impact. I am
going to mark this ticket as resolved, however if you have any questions
regarding this please do not hesitate to reply to this message. Thank you for your understanding! Pete Ruiz / comments
