Thanks Fabiola.
Unfortunately it seems to get rid of them I have to use the format-sql option and then undo all the formatting styles that then get imposed on the query (having edited a custom style as close to my liking as possible). / comments

i've installed from zip link but when opening SSMS now , it throws this error: The SQL Source Control is no longer available and the SQL Search button doesn;t work. I've had to spend time uninstalling and reinstalling the toolbelt to get back to where i was before. How can i install the new version of sql search without encountering this error? / comments

I have been having the same issue for some time now, where SQL Search either gives no results , even though i can plainly see the object in the object browser , or gives random bogus results that have no mention of the search term, Some times opening and closing SQL Search fixes it, sometimes giving it a kick to re-index will work, but never works first go and seems almost rare that it works on a retry.
Have just installed 3.0.4 from the link above and now getting Add-in errors, resulting in SQL Source Control disappearing from SSMS for me. [image] [image]
Wow - this is a nightmare i've entered now. Following the forum post to try and get all my toolbelt back but it's not playing ball at all. https://forum.red-gate.com/discussion/82114/the-add-in-ssms-integration-pack-framework-failed-to-load-or-caused-an-exception
Fingers crossed i don't lose Tab History during all this
... so after all that , i've followed the above fix which has given me back my add-ins , so now back on SQL Search 3.0.7 which doesn't work. / comments

Hi @kalo Thanks for your post. Have you tried Jess' workaround from November 23rd? The following was suggested: Can you please try the following: 1. Close SSMS 2. Delete the folder C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\SIPFw 3. Also delete the file C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\SQL Server Management Studio\11.0\Addins\RedGate.SIPFramework.addin 4. From Programs and Features, repair SQL Search I hope this works for you. Best Richard. Hi Richard, I followed this advice last time this issue occurred (When i tried rolling back SQL Search to 3.0.4) and it successfully sorted out the problem. So when this issue occurred again when installing the latest SQL Search i dug out this advice and followed it again. This time it didn't work but maybe i didn't follow it to the letter. As i didn't have time to figure out what i had done wrong, i just decided to uninstall everything and reinstall again from the toolbelt.exe. And this sorted the issue out , although left me on SQL Search 3.0.7. I will wait for my current deployment task to be over before trying to update again. Thanks for the reply.

FYI : For some reason, if you click quote and start writing your comment in the white area following the quote, but then decide to delete what you wrote but send the cursor back into the quote area, you can't then move the cursor out of the quote area. Even if you come out of the forum and back in, it remembers what you had written before and keeps the cursor in this quote box. so posting this to get out of the quote

These issues with the SSMS Integration Pack Framework (SIPFw) files should be resolved in all of our installers as of today (November 29, 2017).
If you still experience issues after updating/installing with any installer after today, however, please let us know!
i am in the midst of this problem having just installed from the sent out zip file that fixes SQL Search. / comments

Hi Anu,
The version I am using is : 11.1.0.1
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Is this likely to be fixed - as I make extensive use of non-dbo schemas , this prevents me from using what is otherwise a great tool from refreshing data from production to staging for test scenarios.
It is a bit odd that it the tool actually previews the data from the non-dbo schema table the user wants to pull from only then to say that it is an 'Invalid Object name' at the point of attempting the generation.
