Ok, I understand. I think my preference would be to have the option when closing the incident to explicitly indicate that future incidents in the same group should be ignored for the remainder of the day. My default, though, would probably be to be notified of future incidents in the same group because I'd expect them to often be unrelated to the earlier incidents.
Optionally, I could get by with specifying the behavio(u)r for each incident group. Blocking queries would go in the "treat subsequent incidents as new incidents" group. Low disk space might go in "remind me again tomorrow".
I do appreciate the effort to give us the control to limit the notifications, however. / comments

I would absolutely be interested in configurable thresholds and allowing for different thresholds for different server types. Since monitoring levels is a different beast than thresholds, I think thresholds should be kept separate. If I could generate threshold templates that could be named (e.g., dev, test, prod) and associate each server with such a template, that would be awesome. If I could override the templates, per server, as needed, that might be too cool. / comments

I think it's useful to know if any SQL-related services are not running that should be (e.g., SSIS, SSAS, Browser, Full-text). I have a custom report for this now but there is no alert feature to it. For your product, I would default to if it's installed, assume it should be running. If not, DBA can indicate ignore for this server. / comments

I agree with inV1NC3ble. It wouldn't be a problem for me if the period did not trigger the selection. As it is now, you have to choose aliases that, for the number of characters they are long, will not match the same number of leftmost characters in the name of any columns of any of the tables in the query. / comments
