Hi Francis,
Thanks for the feedback, and sorry about the problems. SQL Backup 5.0 should be fully backwards compatible. Could you please tell me a bit about the backup you are trying to restore? Is it encrypted? What level of compression are you using? How large is the sqb file?
Thanks

Hi.
Thanks for all the feedback. The log shipping wizard has been re-designed to be easier to use than in 4.x, and there are a few new options, but otherwise it will be fully backwards compatible.
Thanks

Hi Brian
Sorry about the name! (I'm guessing you're not the captain of the scottish soccer team then)
SQL Backup is able to delete jobs created within SSMS. I have done this, which is why I'm a little perplexed by the problems you are having. I will continue to try and reproduce the problem here, but if you can think of anything else that might help, please let me know.
Thanks

Hi Barry,
Thanks. Now I understand what sort of problem we're dealing with here. So basically we're not deleting the job, and it's not just a problem with the UI being updated.
Could you tell me how you have sql backup configured to connect to sql server? I'm wondering if this could be something to do with permissions.
Thanks

Hi Barry,
Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to reproduce the problem. The GUI should update every 30 seconds, does this look like it was the case for you? Do you know if it was only the jobs tab that wasn't updating?
Also I've made the assumption you have the SQL Backup 5.0 server components installed. Is this the case or are you looking at jobs on a 4.x server?
Thanks
