Hi @DonFerguson, Thank you for reporting the issue, version 14.0.8 was released on Friday at 14:25 UTC (download here) which included this fix that I believe addresses the issue: Fixed an issue where some access control checks were incorrectly blocking access to resources for some authorized users. Please do let me know if that is not the case! Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi All, Just to update here as well, as mentioned before specific support for Custom metrics wasn't included in the release. It does seem to work if you only have one Base Monitor, but if you try to access Custom Metric data for a second Base Monitor, it will return the data from the custom metric with that Id on the Primary BM. The team have made an item to investigate this when they revisit the Rest API to see if it will fit into that work, but there are no specific plans at this point to implement it at this time should it not fit into that work. Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi @HenryT, I've mentioned that they exist to the developers. Looking at the information for what is returned for me, it looks like the last part is the Base Monitor name and then the custom metric ID from settings.customMetrics separated by a colon: {
"id": "[Cluster].[SqlServer].[Database].[CustomMetric].[localhost:20]",
"name": "Number of unused indexes",
"category": "localhost Custom metrics"
}[image] And if I then look to get that information from the API it shows the correct info (19): [image] which is the same as what I see on the Analysis page for the metric: [image] With that all said, are you looking at the correct custom metric endpoint (you showed custom metric ID=2 in the URL you linked before)? Does the data on the Analysis graph correlate wtih what the metric is returning? Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi @HenryT, Chatting to the team, specific support for Custom metrics wasn't included in the release. What is the bit obfuscated at the end of the call - an entity name or the base monitor name or something else? Do you have more than one custom metric added? Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi HenryT, To confirm, is it this custom metric https://sqlmonitormetrics.red-gate.com/number-of-unused-indexes/? Have you accidentally changed it to record the rate of change (is this box checked)? [image] If you go to the Analysis page and select that custom metric do you see integers or decimals? Also, what specific API request did you use (just to check it's looking at the metric you believe it is)? Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi @sacotting, There isn't through the normal purge process, however, if you have a specific time when you are switching over and it is a single instance on a single server you can remove the server level entity (which removes the instance level entity) and tick the box to delete existing sampled data for that entity, and then re-add the entity for go-live where it will start over fresh sampling the new data. Does that sound like it will meet your needs? Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi all, I have added a note to the bottom of the "Configuration files and query search data location" section of the Migration guide to version 14 documentation indicating the rename of the previous SQL Monitor folder from version 14.0.3 onwards and its particular impact on configuration files that were manually updated with that path (e.g. when enabling https). Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi @DonFerguson, Thank you for pointing that out! I will work to get the v14 migration guide updated (as it will impact any users updating from v13 to 14.0.3 using https with the Kestrel webservice and storing the cert in that folder, and also see about a note added to the release notes as well. Kind regards, Alex / comments

Hi @Babak, There is not an export functionality on the Server overview page for the Blocking processes (top 10 by time) page unfortunately. If the blocking processes raised alerts, then you should be able to see the blocking fragment for the head blocker on the alert Details and Processes tabs: [image] and the blocking chain and fragments of those queries on the alert Processes tab: [image] If I have misunderstood, please do clarify where you are looking to export and if it is the above and you would like to see a feature added to export the Blocking processes from the Server overview page, please raise a suggestion on the Uservoice forum here https://sqlmonitor.uservoice.com/forums/91743-suggestions/filters/top Kind regards, Alex / comments
