Adam, thanks for responding. This is something that's been asked for a number of times. Even if it's not perfect something would be better than nothing. You're already grabbing the deadlocked query text and/or Object IDs so I would think it would be a matter of parsing that text for the database context and or regex strings to eliminate the alert email. I understand that every time something like this is done there is a cost to perform that work and balancing the reward with the Processing cost is key to the decision making process as well as balancing other user requests and product enhancements. This is something that has been requested since v5. Dan, thanks for the response. If there is a thought that it might be turned off or on for various beta or intermediate development efforts. I'd assume there would be a switch in the application logic to enable/disable this feature. It would be handy to have this exposed in either a) a config file or b) an option during install or at first use. This would allow companies/users who were allowed to enable it to make use of it and provide the feedback to the developers, while allowing those of us in more restricted environments to opt out of it. I'll add it as a suggestion on the user voice site. Thanks, -Luke. / comments

I reviewed our SQL monitor instance again and it seems like there was some improvements, however the analysis section is still slower than it was in 5.1. the metric selection prompts do not appear to be displaying properly. At times they are very sluggish and sometimes will not populate at all. this is with I.E. When using Chrome everythign is even slower and the metric selection boxes rarely populate correctly. This is particularly bad when reviewing Database metrics on a Clustered instance. for example, I perform the following... Click the Analysis tab, wait 2 seconds. Choose the Database|Total size metric. Choose a Cluster. Wait a second (or sometimes more). Select an instance name. wait 5 seconds and the database list loads. I am able to move around between various databases and performance is as expected. If I select another instance on the same cluster I wait 30+ seconds for the database list to load. The experience drawing the graphs etc seems to be faster but the prompts to get me there seem to not function as well as they used to. I did not have these kind of issues when using this product in the 5.0 or 5.1 versions. Does anyone have any ideas on places to look for configuration changes etc to make this product run faster? Thanks for the update. Yes I've worked around this by creating project and pointing my shortcut to that project. But a recent projects list or the ability to set a default project would be very nice. Also, it would be great if the scripts added to a project didn't need to be renamed to have the project name prepended to the script name. Or if that was requested to keep the scripts together on the file system (which I understand) do we need all the extract characters in the scripts to execute list? it seems repetitive that I already know which project I opened and then I need to read past that name for each script again when I'm looking for the correct one to execute. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete this task. When I click on the icon in the title bar of the installer I only get the option to move, close or About SQL Monitor Web. I tried to run multiple versions of the installer from the network, from the local system, run as administrator etc. I have opened a support ticket with RedGate support.
