Hi Brian,
I definitely don't have any disabled foreign keys. As I said, the weirdest thing about this is that the UI and command lines tools are giving me different results. The other issue is that the command line sync job is running every night and is complaining about differences, but not actually syncing the databases (just to be clear, there haven't been any actual schema changes for a few weeks now, but I get the sync report every night).
This worked flawlessly with the version 3 command line tool. I'm only having the problem since switching to version 5. This is not a big issue for me as I can use the IgnoreWithNocheck option, but it does seem like a bug that should be fixed at some point.
Thanks,

Hi Brian,
The 2 distribution files were created like you said, but I'm still missing RedGate.CommandLine.BuildInfo.dll.
However, everything seems to work. Is RedGate.CommandLine.BuildInfo.dll actually needed anymore?
Thanks,

I got everything but the RedGate.CommandLine.BuildInfo.dll file.
As I say, it seems to work at this point.
Could you confirm whether this is a mistake inthe help or I really should have that file?
Thanks,

I'm sorry. I posted this in the wrong forum. It should have been in the SQL Compare forum. The only files I can't find for SQL Data Compare are:
RedGate.SQLDataCompare.Distribution.dll
RedGate.SQLDataCompare.Distribution.mod
I know that these used to be created in version 3 when you keyed in your license keys, but that doesn't seem to be the case in version 5.
Can anyone tell me where to find them (or if I even need them anymore)?
Thanks,

Thanks. I got this working. I had thought that using the SQL Data Compare UI would create those files. I didn't realize that you had to use the command line tool to force them to be created.
Thanks again,

I see what you are saying up to a point. The changes you have made make sense as a default behaviour for people who don't have many projects, but for enterprise users, *I think* that there should be an option to save files in other locations and be able to double click on those files to open the project.
These Red Gate tools are great products and are a critical part of our development environment. For large enterprise use, everything has to be under source control and version 5 makes that hard.
Anyway, that was my 2 cents. I'm going to create command line scripts instead and put them under source control.
Thanks,

Hi Brian,
I used 2 exclude switches and that seems to work. Thanks very much.
However, it does have an example in the documentation for the toolkit that says that a comma delited list of object types should work for the /exclude switch.
Anyway, I'm happy. Thanks again.
