Hi @RobertPreseau if you have the SQLToolbelt license you can make use of the MultiScript tool. You could generate the update script by connecting to one of the databases and reuse that within the tool to distribute across all the databases you have in your distribution list. MultiScript reference: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sms/configuring-sql-multi-script / comments

Hi @catalogdb following on from our investigation on your support ticket, after all the confusion we had I think we established there was some lingering stuff in the database that was meant to be empty, and we confirmed it's working correctly. / comments

Hi @gmartin so after giving this some thought I've come up with the following way to go about it! So what you can do is make use of SQL Data Compare and SQL Compare in conjunction with each other, so Initially you say the table structure doesn't change very often so first you can setup a Data Compare project with your PROD database as the source and DEV as the target. Once setup with all the right options etc you can tick the box for select all and save the project, then you can reference the project in the cmdline and run it there and it will push all the data across. If you wish to further automate this you can take a look at SQL Change Automation with Compare which is mentioned here: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sc/getting-started/licensing/changes-to-distribution-of-command-line Now, as you mentioned the schemas/structure is likely to change rarely, so here you can setup a Compare project to compare and transfer the new structure from one database to the other. It's also worth taking a look at our SQL Clone product, as this will create an exact "clone" of your production database at the current time and can be a quite lightweight approach as you can create and drop those relatively quickly for fast development. it's worth noting that changes to the development clone will be lost upon refresh. Following on, if you contact the Redgate sales team they can talk further with you based on your scenario and provide the best products based on your requirements. / comments

Hi @Bugmeister I know we covered this in the support ticket, but for the benefit of anyone reading this forum I'll put the answers you and I discovered. So originally I stated "SQL Compare options have to be explicitly defined in every cmdlet." Your solution was to "Write some Powershell which parsed the ComparisonOptions.xml generating the appropriate list of options for the New-DatabaseReleaseArtifact -SQLCompareOptions parameter." / comments

Hi @Jwass unfortunately the issue is due to the tab history file being moved with the general options into a windows share which currently isn't supported. Currently the workload is high on other development projects and they're unable to fix this issue currently. It's recommended not to share the general options within a windows share and instead export the settings from the options instead. I'm assuming you've shared your general options to be more dynamic with changes being applied to everyone, unfortunately this isn't supported and you'd have to take more of a manual approach with exporting and importing settings. My other suggestion would be to post your idea here with what you wish to achieve and the developers can take this into consideration: https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/94413-sql-prompt / comments

Hi @Jwass thanks for providing that to me! so it looks to me like a potential issue with the SavedTabs.db file which resides within your %localappdata% > Red Gate > SQL Prompt (version number). If you could make a copy of the file, then delete it from that location and re-run SQL Prompt, let me know the outcome! / comments
