It sounds like there is no easy way to get to the source code that causes the error.
I understand your workaround of just highlighting the area, which would work fine if just one thread one in that area.
Could you log a suggestion of :
Add a feature that would allow you to click on the error and be taken to the source code/method where that error occurs. / comments
