SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare will attempt to connect over the ports you have configured access to your SQL Server. By default microsoft has configured SQL Server to run on port 1433. Thanks for your forum post. The dependency tracker is designed to show the relationships between the objects within a particular database. I am not aware of any workarounds to show the relationship between databases. / comments

Unfortunately, you can only map tables and views with different names. This is not possible with Stored Procedures.

I tried out the scenario you mentioned in your post, and it seems to be working on my test machine. Please make sure you are hitting the "Refresh List" icon next to the commit button on the Commit Changes tab. If you are pressing the refresh, please provide a sample schema for your table (create table script) that you are experiencing this issue with and Ill give it a try in my environment.
