Yep, that's right [image] Unfortunately it turns out to be hard to accurately figure out how many objects there are to register in a database without registering it first, so there's a bit of estimation involved. This has been a problem in Compare for a while, but v12 made it particularly obvious with how it displays progress. I've written up a bug (SC-9133) for seeing if we can do a better job of estimating progress, but it's unlikely to take priority over other work that we're doing at the moment, so I don't have any ETA for fixing it properly. / comments

Hi there
Sorry you're having issues - unfortunately I don't really know what's going on here from the description you've provided, but if you get in touch with support@red-gate.com we can figure out how to get a more specific reproduction that we can look into / comments

Ah, I see - in general, we try to import settings from v11 or use sensible defaults where possible, but it sounds like that might not have been working properly in this case. I'll write up a bug report and see if there's something we can fix here / comments

Thanks for the information - it sounds like there's some problem where the default project options aren't correctly getting set to Redgate defaults or your own defaults - could you confirm that? It's not something we've seen here but we could have a look if that turns out to be the case / comments

Thanks for the feedback - the 'not responding' problem when generating the deployment script is actually something we're working on at the moment - hopefully we'll be able to release a fix for it soon.
I'll look into the deployment progress reporting as well and see if we can improve that. / comments

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry you're having a bad experience with v12
We're currently looking into reports of high-DPI problems, and we'll let you know when we have more information. It's currently working fine in high-DPI on my test machines, but I think we've managed to reproduce it on some others. It might be due to different versions of Windows implementing high-DPI differently, but that's just a guess at the moment.
We'll also be looking into making window sizing and location more persistent, so hopefully that'll be a better experience in the future as well / comments

We've just released 12.0.29.3182 to Frequent Updates. This build should add a bit more filtering on the dependencies that are shown, to be more in line with v11 / comments
