Hi eteunisse,
Which version of SQL Monitor is this occurring for? You can double check this via the configuration>about page.
In instances where the XSP service is failing it can be useful to switch to hosting the website via IIS, documentation on that can be found here http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... r+with+IIS.
Please let me know if this is an option in your environment? / comments

Hi eteunisse,
Thanks for posting in the Redgate forums.
Can you provide some more details on the symptoms you are seeing please.
Is the SQL Monitor website accessible when this error is occurring? How often does this occur? If the service restarts how long does it run for before it stops again?
When you created this forum post a support ticket was created for you, within that support ticket I will ask you to send over the SQL Monitor log files. / comments

Hi dovewwing2000,
Thanks for contacting Redgate forums.
If you select the configuration tab and then data purging, you can see all the options to tweak the purge settings of SQL Monitor. The purge tries to run every hour, certain things can stop this process occurring and any data that would have been deleted will then be deleted the next hour.
You can read more on the purge settings here http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... nitor+data
The purge portion of V5 is the same as V4. Please let me know if you need any further information. / comments

Hi dreamtheater,
Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.
SQL Backup 7.7 will run Full and log concurrently.
On my local machine I setup a Full backup every minute with Log backups also every minute. The full log backup took 1 minute 30 seconds with Transaction log backups completed around 15 seconds. All backups were successful in this scenario. I hope this helps to answer your question. / comments

Hi wan-der-dog,
Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.
The reporting tool cannot be run externally as you mention, which further information would you require the report to show.
You can use the activity history tab within SQL backup to view failed backups. You could also setup an email to be alerted when a backup job fails. Would either of these methods resolve the issue you are seeing? / comments

Hi cjbaum,
Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.
The script to turn off AD authentication is below, you would then need to restart the SQL Monitor Web Service.
UPDATE [RedGateMonitor].[settings].[KeyValuePairs]
SET [RedGateMonitor].[settings].[KeyValuePairs].[KeyValue] = 0
WHERE [RedGateMonitor].[settings].[KeyValuePairs].[KeyName] = 'ActiveDirectory-Enabled'
If you could confirm this is done and we can then progress this call from there. / comments

Hi Lup328,
Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible. SQL monitor doesn't collect this information.
If you investigate this thread http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2895 ... y-database you can see why this might not be possible. You would be able to add the scripts in this thread to a custom metric in SQL monitor but these don't report on individual databases rather individual queries. / comments
