Hi Mike
If you're getting annoyed, you could try deactivating and reactivating your licence - previously, that's stopped the notifications coming up for some people. You might also want to drop by our UserVoice forum for SQL Prompt and post a request there - I know the developers look at that fairly frequently, so it should up your visibility a bit. Let me know if that helps! / comments

One of my colleagues just pointed me at this, as well - if you're comfortable with adding a registry key, you can shut up notifications for good:
1) Open 'Regedit' and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Red Gate\IPN\Ignored
2) Inside this key, create a string called “Ignore All†with the value set to “Trueâ€.

There's a few limitations to the kind of comparisons we can do to SQL Azure databases - we've listed them here: http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/c ... c_to_azure
Do any of those apply to you? / comments

This isn't currently possible with the tool, but we'd love if you could post it as a feature suggestion on our UserVoice forum here: http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/147 ... uggestions
We use UserVoice to track feature requests - it lets us be a little more open, and because users can vote on features that they want to see it lets us make sure that we're always doing useful work. Thanks! / comments

Usually performance problems with SQL Monitor end up being caused by a poorly-performing SQL Server - the main culprit is the disk subsystems on virtual machines, because SQL Monitor does many bulk inserts the the write speed on virtual machines is typically sub-par. If data is queued for insert and the SQL Server cannot process it fast enough, that is when you see the memory of the base monitor service bloat up.
Additionally, the initial data burst you get when you add servers is sometimes more than the service can handle, so if you are adding servers to a new SQL Monitor installation, you may want to add one server, let it settle down for a few minutes, and add the next one.
I'm guessing you aren't adding a whole lot of new servers all the time - is this on a virtual machine? / comments

We've been using UserVoice to keep track of feature requests for some of our other products for a while now, and we're just rolling it out for SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare - it lets us be a little more transparent with users, and because anyone can vote on the submissions it lets us focus on issues that are really important to our users.
Thanks! / comments

Your table aliases are stored in "<systemroot>:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 5\RedGate_SqlPrompt_Engine_EngineOptions.xml" along with a number of other options - you could just copy that XML file across, but that will also duplicate most of the options you've got set up in SQL Prompt.
If you want, you could just copy across the value for <userdefinedaliases> in the XML, but that's quite fiddly - in short, while you can do it by messing around with config files, there's no easy way to export them automatically from within the tool. Sorry! / comments
