This feature was released in version 7.1.11. If you click on a query in the Top 10 Queries table, you will be able to see how that query has performed over time, and identify when plan changes have occurred - clicking on one will show the query plan. [image] [image]
The feature is still in beta, so we will continue to make improvements. Please let us know how you think it could be improved so we can consider any suggestions as we continue development.

We're still working on improving it, so if you think of anything that would make it more useful or usable for you, drop us a line - we'd really like to provide the most value out of this feature.

Hi Tobin,
Getting better at showing real-time activity is something the development team is looking into right now. We'd like to understand a bit more about some of the points you raise - if you'd be willing to have a short call with us, we'd appreciate your input.
Thanks,

We've just added a link to the About page in SQL Monitor, so you will be able to go there and get the latest frequent release. Hopefully this will prove useful if you've dismissed the reminder etc.
This should be in the next release... / comments

Hi,
Do you mean you are receiving 'Database unavailable' alerts for offline databases and would like to stop them?
You can stop receiving Database unavailable alerts for specific databases with the following steps:
Go to Configuration and then Alert settings
Select a specific server in the left hand Monitored servers tree
Expand the Database unavailable alert type and select the checkboxes for the relevant databases
Click the Configure Alerts button
Select the radio button 'Don't raise Database unavailable alerts on this level and all levels below'
Apply changes
I hope that helps?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion - we're just working on this, and the ability to expand to full screen should hopefully be in the next release. / comments

The data from that sampler is used to used to generate the Blocking Query and Long Running Query alerts. It is also used to populate the "SQL User Processes (Top 10 by CPU)" panel in the server overview page.
You could disable this sampler via the XML config file or using the "ConfigurationFileEditor.exe" but you would then no longer get those particular alerts.
We are looking at improving this sampler to be more predictable about the % of the overall repository database it consumes, and to make it show more useful information about blocking processes and SQL user processes in the server overview.
I hope that answers your question, but let me know if you need any further information. / comments

Hi Kevin,
That's a great suggestion, we'd definitely value a fresh pair of eyes on what we're doing. If you can message or email adam.walker@red-gate.com with an idea of when would be suitable time to talk/take a look at our prototypes, I can get back with a tentative calendar invite.
Thanks,

Good point - SQL Monitor may only check for updates once a week, at which point an information bar should appear.

We’ve just released v7.1.3 of SQL Monitor - this should be available from Check for Updates.
It would be great if you could confirm this fixes the issue for you when you get a chance to update. / comments
