I've been noticing this same problem for some time now, the ASC and DESC keywords being frequently rewritten seemingly without my input.
As per the OP, I can't find a certain way to consistently reproduce (although the Ctrl+Enter after DROP TABLE produces the same results), so was assuming it was keyboard clumsiness. / comments

David,
Has there been any further improvement on this?
I had to upgrade to SSMS 2012 some months back to support 2012 servers, but I'm finding it quite unreliable and crashing too frequently and making me wish very much for Tab Magic.
After today's crash I'm going back to SMMS 2008 (primarily for Tab Magic) for normal use and will just use SSMS 2012 when I need to admin 2012 servers.
I'm really at the stage where I'd happily pay for the time saver Tab Magic can be. / comments

Is there any update on this?
It would be great to get an ETA, even if it's only rough.
For me, I rely on Tab Magic too much, so I'm back to SSMS 2008 except when I need to work on a 2012 server.
Cheers,

"Failed to find this table" continual errors
In the last few days I started getting this error a bit and today I'm getting it continually. When it happens, it pops up a "Notify Red Gate of this error" prompt (coming up until a report is sent)...
I was hoping this issue (SP-2838) would be fixed in yesterday's update, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
Can you give any idea when it might be addressed?
Thanks,

I tracked down this problem in my case to permissions. The DB that wasn't working for me has Read Only access, so the solution was at http://www.red-gate.com/SUPPORT/kb/KB200708000105.htm

I've just seen a reference to a 3.7 patch at http://www.red-gate.com/messageboard/vi ... php?t=6289
but can't find where to download it.
Any hints? / comments
