Different results between application and command line
Hi,
I am currently trialling SQL Compare using the command line, and seem to be getting some slightly odd results. I have tried to include an image of what I get in the application itself, which sh...

Hi Guys
Had a crash and now when I launch SMSS (with tabmagic installed) it keep opening tabs forever. Tried uninstall and reinstall, no louck. SQL2008 R2
Any suggestions
Mark
I had that problem when i used it on 2008 a few times and the only solution I could find was to keep right clicking tabs and selecting close all as they were loading, if I got too many open I would run out of memory and have to restart SSMS all over again.
Closing them all then closing SSMS properly seemed to get rid of all the extra tabs. The strange bit was sometimes the tabs it would load would be ones from months previous, that hadn't loaded up on previous starts and I had forgotten I'd ever had open. However closing them manually did seem to work for me
Thanks

Is there any progress with this? I am also now using SQL Server 2012 and while I had the same problems others had (namely in the event of a crash, Tab Magic had a bit of a habit of reloading some tabs, but curiously not all, from as much as a few months prior), I do miss the functionality. It was useful to know when I closed SSMS I would get my tabs back, and if even more so, if I accidentally closed a tab, I could retrieve it. / comments

Hi,
Many thanks for the quick reply and well done on getting it fixed so fast [image] I don't consider it to be an irritation either really, Red-Gate have saved me countless hours in the past, I can hardly be critical of a typo
Thanks

I have also been caught out today by the disappearance of CTRL+B+L and was disappointed to find the shortcut had changed. I understand the rationale set out above but this having the option to choose would be greatly appreciated [image] / comments

Hi,
As requested, this has been an issue for me too, with the frustrating side-effect that because I am new to XML, I wasn't immediately sure what the problem was when this was happening to me. I for one would like this change to be given a high priority because it is capable of causing code to break altogether
Thanks

I could remove it, yes. I tend to think the snippets are there to help when you think to use them, so I am reluctant to remove them unless I really have to, otherwise it's almost like i'm defeating the object of their presence. Thanks for looking into this though
