Hi,
Thanks for letting us know. We haven't heard of this issue before now.
Can you confirm which build number of ANTS Performance Profiler it was and the name and version number of your virus checker, please?
To find the build number of ANTS Performance Profiler:
1) In Windows Explorer, navigate to %ProgramFiles%\Red Gate\ANTS Performance Profiler 8\
2) Right-click on RedGate.Profiler.UI.exe, and click Properties
3) On the Details tab, the build number is the 'Product version' number
Thanks again,

Hi,
Thanks for that. Please check that you have selected one of the 'All methods inc. framework' profiling modes and that the Display Options dropdown above the call tree is set to All Methods.
If there are 'collapsed insignificant methods' below the HttpModule in the call tree, you can click the '+' to expand those nodes, but they are unlikely to cause a performance problem.
I don't think this sort of server load will be causing a problem displaying results from HttpModule, but if you still can't see the HttpModule types, please email your profiler settings to support@red-gate.com with the URL of this forum thread in the subject line.
Thanks,

Hi,
We need some more information: What is the platform and version of IIS it's running on, please? Also, can you give us an estimate of how big the 'very big load' is?

Hi,
Sorry you're having trouble with the profiler. The vast majority of the feedback we're getting is that it's a lot more stable now than in previous versions.
Could you provide some more information about your application, and the platform and version of IIS it's running on, please? Also, can you give us an estimate of how big the 'very big load' is?
If you are able to reproduce any of the crashes you have seen, that would also be very useful to us.
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the feedback regarding support for WinRT and Windows Phone 8 in SmartAssembly.
As James rightly says, there are no plans at present to add support for these features to SmartAssembly.
On WinRT / Windows Store Applications, you might be aware that we recently added WinRT support to Red Gate's ANTS Performance Profiler. We have seen very few users of that functionality in the Performance Profiler, so we don't currently believe there is a significant business case to extend WinRT support to our other .NET products. We'll of course keep an eye on the levels of WinRT use in the wider market and, if we see a substantial uptake, we'll reconsider our decision on WinRT then.
On Windows Phone 8 support, because of the introduction of MDIL in the Windows Phone Store, we don't see why you need to obfuscate your code like you did for Windows Phone 7. We are aware that some of SmartAssembly's competitors are offering this feature, however, so I'd be very interested in hearing why you believe that MDIL doesn't give enough protection.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks very much for your feedback.
The main cause is that we've added some new data to the profiling results (such as 'Time to await' for async method calls), and we haven't been able to work on the file format to handle the new data yet. We'll be doing that work this week.
Please let us know if you have any other comments on the beta,

Hi,
Yes, I'm afraid this is a known bug in ANTS Performance Profiler 7.4 and lower, related to scaling in high DPI modes. Sorry about that.
I'm pleased to tell you, however, that the startup screen and other parts of the Performance Profiler are being completely redesigned for v. 8.0, and (because we're now using WPF) this bug is fixed.
We're still a few weeks away from releasing v. 8.0, but you can download the beta from http://www.red-gate.com/labs/ants-performance-profiler/. We'd be glad to hear your feedback on the new screen.

The beta program is still open, and we're still interesting in hearing your feedback on ANTS Performance Profiler 8.0.
Features added in the last few builds of the beta include:
* Web request profiling
* Sharepoint 2013 support
If you are profiling web applications, the Performance Profiler also now starts your default browser, not just Internet Explorer, by default. This is one of the most requested features from users, so we're really pleased to have been able to do this.

Thanks for your feedback. I've added this request to our bug system, where it has internal reference PP-2259. Unfortunately, I can't promise an immediate fix but it will be considered when we are planning the next version. / comments
