Hi unfortinatly you are correct that "server/database to be ignored" doesn't disable prompt's parsing it just stops us pulling down the metadata. It would seem more sensible if it worked in the way you sugest so I have added your sugestion to our list. Thanks for the feedback

Hi thanks for the feedback. ALTER TRIGGER isn't currently supported but is definatly something we would like to support in the future. It is on our list of features to add.

Hi
You are right that prompt pulls down all metadata when you connect for the first time and then just uses this cached data. This is not going change for this version but we are clearly suffering some of the limitations of this model so we will look at replacing it in the next version.

Well that exception is not thrown in any of our code so it is likely that you have found a bug in SSMS. It could be we are doing something to SSMS that we shouldn't but in this context it is unlikely. If you can reproduce it I will take a look at it.

Unfortinatly we have no way of automatically removing the menu from SSMS with the uninstaller. It is easy to remove it though (this text is pinched from the help).
In SQL Server Management Studio, to remove the SQL Prompt menu from the toolbar, do the following:
1) On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2) Drag the SQL Prompt menu from the menu bar, or right-click the SQL Prompt menu and click Delete.
3) Close the Customize dialog box.
Wish I could sort this bug out but I don't know anyway to do this automatically.

There is a bug in the latest beta where the master database is not being cached correctly so it is reloaded whenever you make a new connection. We have fixed the issue so with the next version it will used the cached version of the database which will make thing much faster. Sorry for your problem.

Hi
Could you go to the options dialog and look at the Availability tab. Could you tell me what it says under the 'SQL Prompt Availability' section.
