hi Chris,
is there a way to link the info contained in data.Cluster_SqlServer_Properties_StableSamples
to the info in [settings].[Clusters] or [settings].[SqlServers]?
im asking as im using this info to collect info from each server with regards to user/login permissions. my collection method uses the system tables that are not available in sql 2000 and i have 1 sql 2000 server being monitored which causes my process to fail.
thanks,

Export monitored server list
Hi,
Is it possible to either export the names of the monitored servers or query the monitor database to extract that information?
Thanks,
Lee

Hi,
I'm having a similar error to the above thread whenever I try to connect to a server registered in the backup pro frontend. I also get the error if i try and run a backup from query analyzer (yes this is a sql 2000 box!)
I have tried resinstalling the server components with no change. Im running SQL Backup v6.3.0.48.
I have tried using process explorer to close the handles for the baseobjectsnames (both were present), restarted the backup agent and it didnt make a difference. it is a default instance.
this server is a virtual that was cloned, the server was renamed and then renamed back again to its original name. it then has had all system and user databases restored from the server from which it was cloned. this was done using the redgate backup agent so it was functioning ok but only after a reboot of the server as initially the backup agent wouldnt start.
other wise sql seems to function without any issues. native backups work for example.
i would reboot again but other users are now using the server so this could be difficult.

i've run dbcc on the database in question and it returns no errors. i've compared the database settings for the database that fails and one that works ok on the same server and they are all the same.
any ideas? / comments

Hi Eddie,
I dont actually run sql compare on the same server as the database. I run it locally on my machine. I've tried saving it to various locations both local and on network drives and still errors when attempting to save.
I tried using sql snapper to create the snapshot and it works without any problems, even saving to the same location where it fails using sql compare.
is there anything else you would recommend? am i able to use sql snapper with the command line? / comments
