Hi,
I've contacted you directly to go through a few things on this, so you should get an email through shortly.
Thanks for your post. I tried creating a snippet based on what you posted, but the brackets work ok for me and appear.
Can I check - what version of SSMS are you using? And if you haven't already, can you try the latest patch? (look for the "Latest cumulative patch" post in the forum) / comments

Thanks for your query. Unfortunately it's not possible to do what you ask; the synchronisation will occur at the table level.
You can of course amend the script before executing it if there is a change that you want to stop occurring. / comments

Well, it's *possible* it's the project file; there have been issues in the past with these, especially ones where they originated in an earlier version.
I guess the quick test of this, is can you try a new comparison but just worry about the table in question? Does saving the settings for it to a *new* project file work ok (i.e. they are remembered when you next load it?)
If so, then it does sound like there is something in the current file that's causing the problem.
If it still won't work, then there must be something else going wrong; we've opened a support ticket for you if you want to get in touch directly - just mail in with F0040785 in the subject line. / comments

OK - I was basically after your data generator project file, as I tried to replicate the problem but got different results. Could you reply to the auto-email with that, and also the error you were seeing?
Thanks! / comments

Unfortunately I don't think this kind of situation is going to be very easy to deal with.
If your PK on the table can actually utilise more than one column, then you may be able to achieve it. For instance:
PeopleID SiteID Name
1 1 ElToro
1 2 SantaClaus
But this would obviously not help with the related tables; the schema would need amending so they use the composite key as well.
We have a document detailing some of the problems and solutions encountered in trying to synchronise databases, here - but I don't know how easily you'll be able to work with your specific situation / comments

Thanks for your post. I've contacted you directly to look at it in detail, but I think the main issues will be you don't need to "cd" if you have the full path, and you should enclose "sqlcompare.exe" in the quotes too.
Also, you should specify the server as /server2 so it knows which "side" of the comparison it relates to. / comments
