I have excluded 2 tables for sync however, when I look at the summary and script, it is still dropping and adding constraints for those 2 tables that are different but which I have excluded from the sync. Can someone please verify this issue?
Thanks,

OK, I'll buy that BUT...how do I get around that? Is it even possible?
What I don't understand is that I can script out my database, go to Query Analyzer and run the script that creates all my tables, procs and UDTs just fine. So what is SQL Compare doing that it is trying to run something from the master database? I need it to NOT try to run sp_executesql or whatever it is trying to run.
Can you please have someone look at this issue? I hate to think I paid for a tool I can't really use the way I need. / comments

Ok, so you're saying it ignores them but it really doesn't. Anyway...
Back to my first question then:
So is there no way to sync up a local database with one that is on a shared hosting site?
I was able to do a SQL Data Compare between my local and the remote database, just not the SQL Compare.
As long as I can sync the data, I think I will be ok but it would really be great if I could sync a remote database. Hypothetically, I don't see why it can't be done if I log into each server under the another login besides dbo. The user I am using has the role of Database Administrator, just not the built in dbo role. / comments

OK on the comparison keys. All of my tables do have unique PKs and/or indexes.
I will see what I can do to send you a backup. It will probably be later this week though or the weekend. I will email it to you when I get it ready if that's ok.
Thanks,

No new tables in the target that don't exist in the source. I basically created a new target database, did a SQL Compare and synced all of the objects and then did a Data Compare to sync the data. All of the tables could be compared and none were left out - I don't understand the comparison keys - how do you set those (or do you)?
Ditto! / comments

Dang...tried posting a reply and it error'd out and I didn't save my long reply - will try again.
Thanks Richard.
I am including all of the tables since I am comparing an existing database to a new blank database. All of the tables have records in them and all of them are selected. I do remember trying to sync just the table that I got the warning message about and it synced fine with no warnings. So in your test database, if you try syncing tbl5, it should not give a warning message (I would think).
I had upgraded to 6.0 and was getting the same warning messages as v5 so whatever it is doing has been doing it for a while maybe. I saw it once before (a while back) and I investigated the table it was complaining about and saw that it didn't have a foreign key so I just dismissed the warning message.
If you find anything out, please let me know.

So, I never had this issue until I upgraded to 3.1.0.5208. I'm using a dedicated model and all of the icons change if I work with different query tabs but when I go back to the SQL Source Control tab, it refreshes and the icons indicating changes are removed. / comments

The only thing I did notice is that when we went to get latest, the migration script was not in the list of other objects on the Get Latest tab. So, that was probably the issue.
Needless to say, we ran it manually, and everything else worked so we are ok and now know for next time. / comments
