And so was I (off for the Christmas holiday), but I did log in a couple of times during the two weeks. With a little "work", I did get all the history showing up in the "Tab History". The work involved rebooting my VDI machine and starting SSMS 2008 a couple of times.
All is well once again in the new year.
Thanks,

Here's what I did to fix this problem. I Restarted the SQL Server instance and it allow the remote install. Not sure what that freed up, but it worked. / comments

Thanks.
No it is not.
I start SQL Data Compare 5. In the Help About screen, it is version 5.4.0.64. As in the other tools that I have used, I click on Help, the Check for Updates. In the Red Gate Update Service window I click on the Check for Updates button. I get two green bars and the ? Unable to connect to the update server, then I close the window.
Since I use SQL Backup 5, I started that app. I know there is an error in the reporting of the Current and Latest version, but the Check Update button at least returns with a "New free maintenance releases available" message. / comments

I remoted into the server and I ran the aforementioned process from Query Analyzer on the server to get accurate timings. I closed all sessions and such from the server and logged off.
To fix the problem I remoted back into the server and restarted the SQL Backup Agent. After doing that I was able to delete the files. / comments

From Query Analyzer on the server where the database resides I ran;
EXECUTE master..sqlbackup N'-SQL "BACKUP DATABASE [DataWarehouse] TO DISK = ''\\Themis\DataBackups2\Dev-DB\<AUTO>.sqb''WITH COMPRESSION = 1, NOWRITE, THREADCOUNT = 2"'
This created a file named DataWarehouse_db_20071024_134554.sqb.
I can not delete that file. / comments

I did the the CHM to work. I needed upgrade to the current version.
When you run SQL Compare you can Export Comparison Results to Interactive HTML; Simple HTML; Excel Spreadsheet; or Raw XML.
The Interactive HTML gives you one file to send to personnel for review or place in a "review folder".

There were 11 Best of Tech·Ed 2009 awards category winners. Here was the winner in Database Development: Quest Software Toad® for SQL Server.
It doesn't hold a candle to MultiScript, SQL Compare, SQL Data Compare, and the fine tools of the SQL Toolbelt, but since I work in it a lot, I thought I'd add a request for an integration of SQL Prompt in Toad.
I am also not saying that this is a major request, but that it would be very nice.
