Hm, clutching my straws now, but maybe re-installing SQL Prompt 2 would help? (You can have all Framework versions installed side by side, btw.)

Hi again,
My first observation is that you only have Framework 2.0 installed on your client machine. SQL Prompt 2 was compiled against Framework 1.1. Although, in theory all 1.1 applications should run against 2.0, this isn't always the case in praxis. So could you try installing Framework 1.1 and let me know if that fixes the problem?

Hi Joe,
Thanks for pointing this out. As you've noticed, SQL Prompt 2 has only very basic support for 2005 features. We hope to improve on that in version 3.

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for posting. Are you clearing the cache after you have created the views? Currently SQL Prompt isn't clever enough to notice when you add new objects to the database. You therefore have to manually clear the cache to prompt SQL Prompt to cache the database again. (To clear the cache go to the Options dialog > Status tab > Clear cache button.)
I'm not totally sure what you mean by your second comment. Could you explain that a bit more?

Hi Emmanuel,
I'm afraid I haven't got a clue what could be causing this. Version 3 will be a complete rewrite, so hopefully your problem will go away, then.

Sorry, I still can't get the problem. I.e. when i go 'SELECT * FROM ' I get the view in the candidate list, and when i then go 'SELECT ^ FROM View' and press Ctrl + Space i get the columns of the view.
Do you clear the cache after creating the view? SQL Prompt 2 doesn't automatically recognize when a new object has been added. But I take it those views were around before you started using SQL Prompt 2.

Hi,
thanks for the suggestion. I will add it to our list, but I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon.

Hi John,
That's an interesting idea. I'm afraid it's not going to happen for version 3, though.
