Please point me to a download for the 5.2.8.2 version as, despite having uninstalled that version and installing 5.2.6 from the 2/17/2012 SQLToolbelt.exe, SSMS is still showing 5.2.8.2 as the current version.
Thanks. / comments

Double-hop is highly doubtful for two reasons:
1. I "fixed" the problem by logging in with a SQL Login, then immediately logging into the same server with my Windows credentials.
2. I've been connecting to the target server, from the central development server, for over a year with no issues until 5.2.8.2 came along.
As I've uninstalled 5.2.8.2, will the logs remain? If so, where would I find them, please? / comments

Perhaps Red Gate would entertain a system similar to many, many other forums where the post is tagged as "Answered" either by the original poster or by a moderator. At least we wouldn't have to keep prodding Red Gate for a response when an interested party/fellow sufferer has posted a "Reply".

Is there a reason why the Working Base folders are under the version ONE product-labeled folder? E.g.,
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Source Control 1\WorkingBasesThe "Transients" folder under the version THREE product appears to be extremely similarly structured, and coincidentally there are five folders, corresponding to the five databases I have under SSC. They only appear to lack the configuration file...
Can a Red Gate expert comment on these, please?

Well, Peter P, I guess I'll take the more lengthy path and restore to a 2005 instance on another box, detach, copy, attach, and take SQL Backup out of the mix altogether on the 2012 box.
Thanks for the solemn warning, which I will heed - no struggles for me! / comments
