Thanks for the reply. Actually I had MSSCCI installed, but it was the 2005 version. I upgraded to the 2008 version. Although I received a warning that it was unsupported and asked if I wanted to proceed at my own risk, which I did, it looks like it's working now.
I checked it, but I didn't think to check the version. Thanks for the help. / comments

Just downloaded the early release and tried it out. Well done. The performance is noticeably snappy. I like the UI improvements too. Looking forward to the release (so I can put it on both my machines). / comments

Not really. It's just recomparing and you're only saving the step of changing the connection criteria, which isn't that bad to begin with.

I have to agree with Aaron too. When working with some of our sloppier projects, it's sometimes unclear as to which database would be pushing changes in which direction. Being able to make that switch, as needed, has been very handy.
Some of our databases take a while to compare. To have to completely recompare them, while not a show-stopper, is a pain. / comments

Just a follow-up to your post.
I'm using Prompt & Refactor daily. They're great tools and really do help my work. The frustration is, I can't use them everywhere, specifically in DataDude. At least 1/2 of the queries I write, in Datadude and, frankly, I'd like to have the quick response type-ahead I get from Prompt and the formatting I get from Refactor. Unfortunately, I don't. It's not a knock on Prompt, it's a complement. The more I use it, the more I need it. / comments

I bought on the premise that VS 2005 would be supported, period. Up to now quite disappointing.
It's at the bottom of the page in the help file under the topic Installing SQL Prompt. I agree that it is a disappointment, but I understand that the scripts and behavior of the DBPro files are different than the same for the generic database projects. / comments

Yes, I seem to have put myself in a hole. I didn't mean check out when I was referring to the continuous integration builds. It is a get by label. The command line capabilities of SQL Compare 6 would then come into play for the build from the scripts. Sorry for creating problems over syntax. / comments
