Just to add to what Andy said: The commandline is a SQL Compare Pro feature so you'd need to upgrade to be able to use this. The filters come with Standard edition though so this should work with your current licence. / comments

We'd like to try and track down this issue.
Could you turn on logging (see here for how to do this: http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... ta_Compare\knowledgebase\logging_and_log_files.htm)
and send the resulting logs through to me at alice [dot] easey [at] red-gate.com?
Also some snapshots of the source and target database would be great: You can generate these by going to File -> Create Snapshot in the Compare UI. If you're unable to send those through then could you give us a description of what you were comparing/synchronizing instead?
Alice.

Thanks for your post.
We've fixed this issue internally and do a full table rebuild instead (if the field modified is part of a primary key).
We're hoping to do a point release soon that includes this fix: no definite timescales yet I'm afraid, but I'll notify you with any developments in this area.

Thanks for your post.
We've tried to repro this here but haven't had much luck. Can you tell us if it happens if you try on a second machine?
Does it happen if you launch SSMS 'normally'?
Thanks,
Alice.

We don't currently have a command line for Schema Compare for Oracle, but we have had quite a few requests for one.
It's likely that we'll add one for a future release, but we're focussing on building Data Compare for Oracle at the moment so I'm afraid I can't give you an estimate on when a command line might be available.
Would you be able to tell us a bit more about why you'd want this feature and how you'd expect to use it?
Thanks!

Thanks for your comments.
You've definitely identified one of the reasons why supporting this request is quite difficult [image] Part of the problem lies in identifying which mappings are legitimate and which are not.
Supporting one-to-many compares and syncs is a feature that is often requested for our SQL Compare tool - I've created a feature request for this in Schema Compare so we can track how popular it is with our users.
It's definitely something we'd really like to do, but unfortunately would require a significant amount of rework to the engine.

Thanks for your post.
I'm afraid Schema Compare for Oracle doesn't support one-to-many mappings of a source schema to multiple target schemas (or vice versa).
The main intended use case is to allow users to see the differences between individual schemas: we allow multiple schema selection so that they don't have to compare their whole database.
If it's a popular enough request, we might consider building a tool that is designed to do compares and syncs from one schema to several.
Thanks for raising the issue with the project saving in this area - I've put it into our bug tracking system and hopefully we'll be able to handle this a bit more gracefully (probably through not allowing our users to select multiple schemas against a single source/target in this way [image] ) / comments

Hi Paulo,
Devart have suggested that this is most probably caused by a conflict of different versions of dotConnect for Oracle, both used in our tool and installed on your machine.
To resolve the problem, can you try removing all policy.*.Devart.* assemblies from the GAC?
Please let me know if this helps.
