Thanks for your post.
This might be something we've fixed in a more recent version.
Could you try SQL Data Compare 10, or at least the most recent version of SQL Data Compare 9 (9.1.0.464)
Let me know how you get on. / comments

Can you uninstall 10.2.0.916 and install the following version instead? ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQL_ ... .0.777.zip
It's basically the same, just CFU works. / comments

Yes, check for updates does appear to be broken in 10.2.0.916. We have the bug logged under the code SC-5825.
You'll probably never know when we release the fix because you can't check for updates, so I'll try to keep this case open so I can send you a link manually.
Thanks for reporting this. / comments

I'm afraid neither are possible with the current version.
The option to create a scripts folder is designed to be used to represent the complete schema of the database so it can be used as a data source. The scripts themselves aren't really designed to be deployed to other environments.
Likewise, the deployments scripts that can include 'IF EXISTS' are designed to be a single script and can't be broken down per object, unless you go through and create a project for each object. If you right-click on an object in the results grid, you can create a single deployment script for that object, but you can't get it do that for all objects in one go.
If you don't mind me asking, why do you need the existence checks for each script?
Feel free to log the suggestion on our uservoice site if you need it added to the tool. / comments

I think I could sort of reproduce the problem you're having with a 300 ms delay, but with a 1 ms delay I couldn't type fast enough for the join selection to not be noticed.
Try it out when you get the chance; it seemed to help for me. / comments

Thanks for your post.
By default, there is a 300 millisecond delay before the suggestion is triggered.
Could you try decreasing this delay and see if that helps?
You can set it through SQL Prompt 5 > Options > Behaviour > Triggering Behaviour / comments

There isn't much you can do to speed up the comparison, unfortunately.
What you might like to try would be to take a SQL Compare snapshot of the source schema, and then copy it over to the remote site. You can then do the sync' locally on the remote site. This should help if the problem is with communication over the WAN.
I hope it helps. / comments

I'm not sure what are plans are to support VS 11, but we're unlikely to officially support it before it's RTM.
As far as I know, you need to install a Team Explorer client to work with TFS, so you'll need to install one if VS 11 doesn't come with one by default.
Let us know how you get on after installing the client, it would be interesting to see if you have any other issues or not. / comments

I'm afraid table valued types are not fully supported in SQL Prompt 5.
We have an internal case open for this, but I can't give you an estimate on when you can expect full support. For your reference the internal tracking code for this is SP-2142.
It might help if you log a suggestion on our uservoice site, as the more popular suggestions are more likely to be implemented.
Sorry I can't be of more help. / comments

I'm afraid we don't offer any pre-filtering in SQL Compare because of the way we need to register the whole schema to understand all the object dependencies.
However, you have not been the first person to suggest the idea, so I've added you as another vote for SC-2471.
You might like to also suggest the idea on our uservoice site as this is a bit more visible and other users can vote on the idea too.
You may also like to vote for the suggestion to make SQL Compare 64bit, as this would probably help with the memory issues you're finding. / comments
