Vic Yes, I've done that. The problem with that workaround is - our company uses temporary admin accounts to install, so each time I upgrade SQL Prompt, I'm using a new admin account and have to repeat that process again. Please resolve the issue. That workaround is a major hassle when it has to be repeated on every upgrade of SQL Prompt. / comments

Redgate - this is also preventing upgrade from 11.2.0 to 11.2.1 without manually copying files. My company uses temporary admin accounts to install, so each time I am installing or upgrading SQL Prompt, I am using a new admin account and will have to do the file copy again. I am working through a support ticket with Redgate now on this issue. It's still not resolved, and it appears to be related to databases that are linked to a TFS (Azure DevOps) source control system. I will update this thread when a solution is found. / comments

Thank you Sandro - that resolved it for me too. Redgate - please note as Sandro points out, not all of us are running SSMS as a local admin user, the same user who installed. Some of us are required by our company to normally run with non-privileged user, then install things requiring admin with a different privileged user. / comments
