I went to the VM I have Redgate Monitor installed on, made sure I was logged in to Monitor, and then went to the link you provided. It installed fine for me. Do you get some kind of error when you try?

Hi, Josh.
Please close this case.
I was using a trial version of Red Gate SQL Monitor ENTERPRISE edition. On a virtual machine. In The Cloud.
The trial period is over, I don't have a use for (or the $ for) ENTERPRISE edition, and have simply manually installed and configured custom metrics / custom alerts after experiencing the aforementioned difficulties.
No worries. The errors I experienced could have been caused by a million different things out of our, yours and my, control. Leave this one alone, please.

I am navigating to the above URL from the actual machine where Red Gate Monitor ENTERPRISE edition is installed.
It seems as if clicking on the hyperlink titled “Install metric…” should, well, you know… actually install the metric. But it doesn't.
Is the “Install metric…” hyperlink functioning as designed???
“Metrics install automatically if you have Redgate Monitor installed.
If you are using Redgate’s SQL Server monitoring tool, Redgate Monitor, you can instantly install and run this metric on your servers.”
