Hi,

selecting the contents option in the Help menu opens the Support pages on the Red-Gate site. Not very helpful if I'm working off-line! Isn't there a local machine option?

When I got to the site I entered a search term, made sure the "in ANTS Memory Profiler only " box was checked and clicked Search. I was returned four pages of results. Two results were on "ANTS Load" topics and the rest were for SQL tool topics.

Perhaps the checkbox isn't tested.

Regards,
David.

    Hi,

we concentrated very much with online content for the memory profiler in the form of videos because of the general complexity of memory profiling. We could convey a great deal more useful information this way which obviously creates problems when dealing with offline content.

The support site has regular info on the Memory Profiler:
    http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/P ... 20Profiler

I'll see about getting some offline documentation created.

If you do have online access on some computer i'd recommend watching the video my colleague created. It's a very good video to demonstrate how to use the profiler to find and fix a real memory leak. These can be found here in 2 parts:

    Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ8dC5nlhiY

    Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcM6DoCVtSE

Other useful videos focusing on specific features:

    Thanks,

    Stephen

    Hi,

the online stuff is helpful and I'm not dissing it. It's just that if it's the only option it can be a problem when working off-site.

I'm more bothered that the search engine returned mostly SQL tool results even though I specified the memory profiler only.

    David.

We are currently working on improving the search and these changes should be rolled out within the next 2 weeks so hopefully this wont happen in the near future.

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
