install to older version of sql backup

I have some older versions of sql backup i need to install. However i have installed/upgraded to sql backup version 6.2.0.134

Now wheni go to install server components in sql backup i have no option to install to older version... How do i install to older version .. 5.0

    That's a good question -- since installers typically don't consider "downgrading" you'd have to remove v6 using the Add/Remove Programs control panel. Each installed instance of SQL Backup will show up there as "SQL Backup 6 (Server Components)".

    After removing v6, you should copy version 5 of SQBServerSetup.exe to the server and run it locally.

    Be aware that v5 will not be able to restore backups produced with SQL Backup v6 -- there is a free converter that you can use to convert back to v5 format first.
